Record Store Day

WITH CREATIVE STAGING, PRODUCTION AND AN INDIE-COMMUNITY VIBE, THIS VINYL REVIVAL DAY GAINED CULT STATUS

Brief

Rocking the UK’s ‘Golden Mile of Vinyl’ for six-hours, this one day celebration was hotly anticipated by record store fans. We had residential noise restrictions and brief window of 6 hours from road closure to opening of the main stage to contend with and only four hours to strike.

Delivery

Working with the client to gain permission to stage the event via our site design and Event Safety Management Plan we were able to fully assist in launching this prestigious event.

Designing a 180 Degree radial stage thrust to fully utilise street layout and by delaying audio via four-point flown audio system we were able to almost triple the potential stage viewing area in a relatively small space.

From adhering to a tight road closure schedule to keeping the pavements moving for passers-by, health and safety was a key element and this was managed successfully after many revisions of the barrier and stewarding layout.

Everything from show power to client branding was in place by 11:45, 15 minutes ahead of show opening deadline. The client, the artists and the local authority were, understandably, very pleased with the result.

Results

A diverse and rich musical tapestry unfolded for the afternoon and, for the third year running, we supported and delivered a technically perfect sheen to perhaps the most credible and worthy free music event in London.
